Unix Timestamp & Epoch Converter
Convert Unix epoch timestamps to readable dates and back, in seconds, milliseconds or microseconds, across time zones: including whole columns pasted straight out of a log or a spreadsheet.
Watch explai answer one real business question
A recording of the product itself. At the top, the question someone types in: roll a promotion that grew revenue 12% out across all European stores. Below it, explai's answer: it checks that claim against the real sales data, shows every reasoning step, and comes back with a chart and a clear recommendation against the rollout. Under 10 seconds, starts by itself, nothing to click.
That was one question, on our data. In measured deployments teams save about three hours per person a day, and a week of repeatable analysis comes back in roughly five minutes. A private sandbox is waiting for your data: upload a CSV and ask your first question in a few minutes.
Questions people ask about this tool
How do I convert a Unix timestamp to a date?
Paste the number and it is converted immediately. Seconds, milliseconds and microseconds are detected by magnitude, and the result is shown in UTC and in your local time zone.
What is the difference between a timestamp in seconds and in milliseconds?
Unix time counts seconds since 1 January 1970 UTC. JavaScript, Java and many logging systems use milliseconds instead, which makes the number three digits longer: a ten-digit value is seconds, thirteen digits is milliseconds.
Can I convert a whole column of timestamps at once?
Yes. Paste one timestamp per line and each is converted on its own row, ready to copy back into a spreadsheet.
